Explore the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa

The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA) is the world’s largest museum dedicated to contemporary African art. Since opening in September 2017, the museum has hosted a variety of captivating exhibitions. The art housed within the museum’s walls is fantastic and the museum building itself is sure to take your breath away! An old grain silo was converted to house the Zeitz MOCAA across several floors while the luxury Silo Hotel occupies 6 floors above the museum. The building still holds the shape of the grain silo while the interiors have been revamped. The architectural elements are as impressive as the art; from the sweeping arches of the entrance hall atrium and multi-faceted windows to the panoramic views from the rooftop.

Visit the Zeitz MOCAA in the V&A Waterfront, open from Tuesday to Sunday.

Last but certainly not least is Paint and Sip. These interactive evenings are a way for us to
“uncork our creativity!” Hosted at various venues across the city and Winelands, Paint and Sip events offer the opportunity to paint (and enjoy a glass of wine!) under the tutelage of a local artist. No experience is needed - these events are all about expressing yourself, learning a thing or two and having fun! Events held at restaurants include dinner and proceeds go to Call 2 Care and additional charities which support and empower local charities.
